Preoccupied X RVCA / Kurb gallery /group show

Preoccupied and Rvca put on the first group show for the up and comming lifestyle magazine "Preoccupied" thats dropping in winter 09. The show featured a group of artist and photographers from perth. ME, Ryan Bozzerio, Steve Tapping, Ryan Murphy, Josh Stucken, Scott Mellor, Adam Delborello, Parri Corbit, Dwight O'Neil and Sal Scuttio were featured!

the night kicked off at 8pm with heaps of crew comming down to check it out. the show was packed out!

this weird dude rocked up who claimed to be a wizard.. this being the second time in northbridge when i have been confronted by a gay dude thinking he is a wizard/and or warlock... except this time he didnt trying to cast curses and condem us to hell with his miniture crystal ball on a stick.. that's another story. any way this particular wizard was also an art critic and was criteacing eveyones work, so my good friend kiel pretended to be me and talked absolute shit about my art to him to justify his oppinions, after a heated conversation it ended in a hug and a photograph together.. the guy was a total closet homo, not to mention his pinned striped swede coat and his nasil flaming camp voice.. he also had a boyfriend who was the extremely over weight doppelganger of Cedric Bixler.The Wizard on the far right, doing the rounds...The Wizard trying to get inside bindi's brain...Kiel interjected for a photo op.
Kiel explaining his (my) deep Philological meanings behind the works to the wizard... he was still unconvinced. After the debate had ended the wizard encouraged everyone in the room to give keil a round of aplause, we made them get together for a photo and he was totaly weirded out that kiel tryed to hug him but finialy gave in.
Scott and i finished of the night in salute to the gay wizard with a display of homo erotic love, the mid air pelvic thrust touch.

i ended up selling out so it was an awesome night with heaps of sales and good times!Thanks again for everyone who came down to suport to all the artists and the magazine!

We are having a down south edition of the show next weekend aswell so stay tuned!

OLOLO condor tower

Our friends over at Ololo invited us to come down and paint their newest project in the making, the “condor tower” The guys have been commissioned to recruit a bunch of artists to paint a five level apartment building car park in the city, Jo and I went down to reserve some spots, paint a wall, and say what’s up to some crew.

Although cute and cuddly is not jodee’s usual forte, we decided to run with the initial sky theme and do her characters being swept away holding colourful balloons.
